OnSet Medical Crew Member

When you have a film that relies heavily on stunts, or there are a lot of explosions, there is the chance people might get hurt. No matter how carefully things are planned, accidents happen. The best thing to do, for added protection, is to make sure there are trained medical people on the set, standing by with an ambulance to care for anyone hurt whenever these situations arise.

The on-set medical crew is hired on a day-to-day basis and is made up of emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and paramedics, usually employed by an ambulance company. This is not really a film industry job, but if you have medical training and a production comes to town, you just might find yourself on the set.
